Markus Vasily Vikander is a fantasy enthusiast from Stockholm, Sweden, with a lifelong passion for history… especially the rich and turbulent past of Europe. By profession he has worked in sales, but his heart has always belonged to the worlds of myth and imagination.
His love for the genre began when his father first read The Lord of the Rings aloud to him as a child, and he has been writing stories ever since his school days. Markus is drawn to complex, human characters, political intrigue, and the way history shapes destinies… elements that echo through his tales.
Outside of writing, he collects historical swords and takes part in Sweden’s annual Medieval Week, often dressed as a Viking and selling mead horns! At his core, Markus is simply a devoted fantasy nerd who enjoys bringing the struggles and triumphs of imagined worlds to life.
